Stomach cancer is further described as:
Adenocarcinoma: It is the most common type of cancer that occurs in the inner mucosal layer of the stomach.
Lymphoma: This type of cancer occurs in the immune system tissues but sometimes occur in the stomach also.
Gastrointestinal stromal stomach Tumour: This type of cancer occurs in the inner wall of the stomach called interstitial cells of Cajal.
Carcinoid stomach tumour: In this type, the cells multiply and cause cancer in the hormone-making cells and do not spread in other areas of the body parts.
Rare stomach cancer: These starts only in the stomach like squamous cell carcinoma, small cell carcinoma, and leiomyosarcoma.
